Juiced.

 Clear blue today!  Hello Spring!

Today I feel joyous and light. Thank you so much for the love you shared with me regarding my post yesterday!  I feel you, I appreciate you.  I'm in the midst of a juice cleanse and it just dawned on me that the timing is no mistake.  The 18th of March was my 4 year anniversary of being well.  It took me 4 years to get fat & sick leading up to the big trachea surgery that made all the difference and now at the 4 year anniversary of being well I'm juice cleansing to let go of any last pounds hanging on from that time and recommit to the kind of life I want to live.  Food has always been a powerful marker for where I'm at and how I am feeling about myself.

I set out to do 3 days of cleansing and I'm on my 5th day.  I've started adding food back in at lunch or dinner but just eating really simply, no added oils, nothing processed, no meat, no dairy.  Last night I made a stir fry with broccoli, mushrooms, peppers, garlic with tahini and hot sauce.  It was amazing and SO filling!

My first drink of the day is typically Lemon/Ginger/ Cayenne Pepper or a green juice.
To make this drink I juice ginger and lemon and then pass about a cup of filtered water through the juicer to get any remnants that were stuck on the blade.  Some days I pre juice a bunch of ginger and then just add a little ginger juice to a squeezed lemon and stir in the cayenne and top with water.  There's really no wrong way to go about it so it's totally up to you. You don't want any one taste to overpower the others meaning don't burn yourself with the ginger or cayenne and don't go too tart with the lemon.  Balance in the juice, balance in your body. : )

This all fruit juice was an amazing treat!  Seriously all that was missing was the champagne or vodka!  Orange/Pineapple/Apple/ Strawberries/Lemon.  Today I'm thinking I'll do a strawberry/apple for treat mid morning, maybe salad for lunch or repeat of last nights broccoli stir fry and simple green juice for dinner.

What about you?  Planning a cleanse for spring?
I hope you're having a wonderful day!
Love and juice!
