Can't get
This and that...
Hearing this song is always soul stirring for me and Aaron Neville always makes me think of my dad. I heard it last week and I've been singing it in my head since then.
I'm still thinking and journaling about what my word for 2011 will be. I'm over the hump of being stumped and I feel the word starting to reveal itself. Do you pick a word of the year? What's your process to uncovering it?
Off for another full day of training the new studio staff.
Hope your day is full of CRAZY LOVE!

Light Up
I can't get the chorus of this song out of my head. Kayla says the song is a little banging for her but I still can't stop singing it. She says she's in acoustic phase.
My very favorite lines:
Light up, light up as if you have a choice. Even if you can not hear my voice, I'll be right beside you dear.
Bon Iver
Hello Wednesday!
Hello everyone!
My brother-in-law gave me a Bon Iver CD ages ago. I've recently started listening to it again. It's one of those you can get lost in, sit and think and listen. I love that kind of music...thoughtful and thought provoking.

Moved by sight and sound and pain.
You know those songs that you hear and you just think OMG woah- so sincere, so much pain and what must the stories behind the lyrics be like and then you see the video and just wow---

Had nothing to do with the lyrics at all. This song always takes me back in time to weekends on the road between mom and dad's house singing at the top of my lungs with Kayla.
I'm off to San Francisco to spend the weekend with the lovely Leigh.

Darling, It's Alright

The girl has got great taste in tunes. I always love her picks. She's right, this is a beautiful video! It's “A single-take live performance, edited with light.” My fave is the three spotlight dance at the end. It's perfect.
Hope your Wednesday is full of song and spotlight dancing!
